I vote for Superman to third

Something about Black Canary: In the next few issues we're going to have her face a martial arts master foe, so we should get a lot of data. I think it'd be premature to move her.

Some links are broken. Very conspicuously the ones during Gamora's rematch with Maxam, where after whacking him a few, Maxam finally turns on his strength and invulnerability, where the fight picks up again. Also, her skill according to the Worldmind and the Nova Corps:

Jeph Loeb's Superman sure is formidable.

I remember reading how he wanted to start writing either Hulk or Thor, but since Thor was taken by JMS, he settled at writing Thor.

The Starfire one strikes me as PIS, Kori's regularly shown to be a much better fighter than that, with real MA skills. Of course there's lots of characters jobbing to S/B during that one so it's not a surprise.

The Marvel one, that kinda fits. The Marvels aren't martial artists, though they are experienced fighters and I'd think the basic shazam package includes some fighting skills.

Loeb actually should be writing characters like Thor, Nova, Sentry (rip) etc. At least then most of the WTF feats would be believable.

Also, in Superman 221, a holding back Superman treats an all-out Wonder Woman like she was no more than a flying Colossus (she even had her shield and dagger).

Ok, I looked through the third tier list, and I think maybe one in a ten of them will lose to superman as much as 2/10, but I can't actually see him get the majority against any of them. He'd be the rock bottom of the tier, and there's many people in fourth who'd beat him the majority, or at least draw.

Could I see him reaching third if he was depowered and started training for it hard? Sure. But I don't think he's there now, and when he's depowered he never did good enough to put him above 4th IMO.
