....and what has that got to do with me? Did I propose that?

Are you in a broken version of KMC? Because my post says nothing as such.

Putting words in my mouth aside, it would be quite hilarious to bring up a character from a superior tier being at the same level with one from an inferior one, and thus the latter's movement being justifiable, when at the same time we have more than a dozen characters moved down from a tier just so that one, Superman, can't move up.

Translation: Prevent skilled fighters moving to their proper higher spot because of Superman butt-hurt??? 😛

No, he's just trying to be consistent with the status quo of this thread.

Hey listen, if nobody said it did then that means I shouldn't have to pay for it. Not only do you not know what objective is but you don't know what fairness is either. Wow you're a real piece of work.

Ok then im proposing all votes made out of spite should be made exempt.

If you took the spite out of KMC, there wouldn't be a KMC.

His and your status quo when Superman isn't moved up? I have no idea why Superman not being moved up has anything to do with Punisher's case for moving up, much less dragging ten or so other characters down.

Superman isn't that vitally important to the concept of martial arts ability in comics.

Not saying he is.

I just find it hilarious how that rather than justifiably bumping a single character up to a tier where he belongs, we instead have to bump 10+ characters that are comparable to that single character down to his tier.

With the above being the case, we should at least be consistent with every single one of the nominations... right?

I'm satirically stating this to show the ridiculousness of bumping a dozen characters down. 🙂

^ Nobody had to bump ten characters down. Frankly, that was a knee-jerk reaction birthed from the annoyance of several posters that Superman didn't gain enough support to be bumped up.

It didn't need to go that far and frankly, those blanket over-generalizations are coming for the sake of convenience, but at the cost of actual discussion, since very few people are willing to patiently and methodically make the case for each and every one of those characters. Superman gets dozens of pages of extended debate and each of those other characters get what, a dozen conclusory posts, if even that?

And now, instead of each character getting the benefit of the doubt that they belong where they are and building a defense from that position -- later on, after several weeks pass, people will have to build a case to move x character up an entire tier.

It's Superman butt-hurt. And of all the things it could be about, it's about martial arts fighting ability. It's smh worthy and I know you agree and yet how are you approaching it? By voting for it all. Oi vey.

If you noticed, it wasn't my suggestion to bump that many characters down. In fact, I was against it, and thought it was a ridiculous idea to begin with. Actually, it came from Martian Mind, who voted against Superman moving to the third tier.

And of course it's coming at the expense of actual discussion. I thought I made myself clear that I find it laughably stupid.

The only reason I'm even entertaining the idea is to show how pathetically ludicrous it is to move all of them down, rather than move Superman up. As bad as that is though, in the interest of fairness, if it's the only way for Superman to be in his proper company, so be it.

You don't agree that having Superman in his "proper company" dictates that the people who were unjustly above him, needed to be lowered? To me, it sounds as though you would rather save the time it would take to get the tiers corrected, in favor of simply adding another person who doesn't belong.

That's lazy and highly illogical.

Not when they're fine in the third tier.

So... anyway.

Since people seem to be voting on the Punisher proposal, I'm just going revive the defeated proposal from a fortnight ago and build upon it.

For reference this is where the vote stands:
Punisher to second: 8 [Trackz, jalek, ODG, Juk3n, YFZ, Deadline, Konton, MM] / 9 [Phil, Style, comicfan, Omega, Kurupt, marwash, batdude, Q99, iceman]

But people should bear in mind that about 13 characters will be moving down from the third tier, which may impact the overall calibre of the third tier.

I'll so a full vote update and hierachy update soon as well. Unless there's a groundswell of opposition to those moves they're likely to pass.

Also people may want to reassess the Superman votes they've made considering the impending changes.

Personally I don't think they were.

And personally I also think there's people in the fourth tier who are better than Superman, several of them. If we were going to bump him up, we'd have to bump up a whole batch with him, and fourth tier would be gutted.

Either way we'd have to move a sizable group of characters.
