Comic Book Martial Artist Hierarchy

Looks like Wonder Woman's going to be mostly depowered for awhile, so we'll have some martial arts questions answered.

Groovy.

I just read the comic and after much reflection I came to a very reasonable conclusion:

Johann is uber. uhuh

No more love for Phobos to second tier?

Here are scans from Siege: Secret Warriors #1, where after watching his father get ripped apart by Sentry, he decides to confront the President at the White House to send a message. He wipes out the entire Secret Service with two swords, some guns dropped by Secret Service agents, none of his God of Fear powers, and one giant can of whup-ass:

While it's not a surprising feat when you consider the skill he exhibited in the Ares limited series, it is impressive that he's completely unharmed and -- even though the kid's fighting the entire time with swords and guns -- NONE of the Secret Service agents are fatally wounded. Basically... this is Phobos holding back.

Second tier is too high for Phobos third maybe

Agreed.

^ Why? I see few people in the second tier that could accomplish what Phobos did, i.e., destroy the entire Secret Service with two swords, no powers, a couple of guns, and leaving every single one of them alive without fatal wounds.

Can you imagine how much quicker and easier it would have been if he didn't care about killing or maiming anyone? He'd just run through all of them with a blind-fold on -- and the only characters capable of doing that in the second tier are Gorgon and maybe Deadpool.

I mean... in all honesty, who in the third tier even comes close to this?

Why are you guys so greedy with the top tier? Its not like people in the tier itself wouldn't get more than split results against those in their position.

Bump Black Panther 😎

Without fatal wounds. I thought he killed them.

I'd bump Red Skull first.

Well, Johann schooled a young Capitan America without having the serum...

He spares them all. It may not be clear due to the resolution, but read the letter he pens to the President, third paragraph, "Surely, fortune favors you, and the men I spared. Enjoy it."

Killing the Secret Service would severely hamper Nick Fury's agenda by bringing a sh1t ton of pressure on him. And I mean... Phobos is a superhero. He's not a supervillain. He's just that good.

And on the idea of Phobos being too low for second tier... what fighters do you guys know can fight dozens of demon foes completely blindfolded? I mean seriously? Who there in the second tier besides Gorgon and Deadpool do that? I don't see ANYBODY in the third tier doing that.

The focusing isn't right here... the thought shouldn't be that second tier is too high for Phobos... it should be that third tier is too low for Phobos.

For Phobos to Second

For Batman One Million to Uber Tier

Yea, I'll go with Batman 1m to Uber as well.

He might possibly be cosmic, but we can only confirm Uber at this point.

Who did he fight? (I know he's uber, just wanted to see how much)

I recall Batman 1 Million fighting like... almost never.

When I read it, I thought the "and the men I left alive" was a reference to the last batch of Secret Survive left standing when the helicopter took off, not everyone prior to that. /shrug
