McClane is going to die
no matter what, even if he gets past all of the other henchmen. There is no way he is going to get to the end scene with Bane holding Holly captive, because in that scene Bane would definitely have his men conduct a patdown, and discover the gun taped to McClane, thus leaving his only option of escape to be H2H, and even if he fights off the henchmen, you know Bane is going to want to take him on H2H, and it will be this guy:

This Guy
So yeah, McClane gets his neck snapped Dr. Pavel style. Only reason Batman was able to do any damage to Bane's mask whatsoever was because of his powerful gloves
Bane wins

McClane's win relied entirely on PIS with Hans not having his man check McClane. Had he done that, McClane wouldn't have rode off in the sunset with Grace Kelly. Your entire basis for Bane's loss is that he will have the PIS to get into a monologue with McClane about Westerns. Remember in TDKR when he robbed the Stock Exchange? He's a very efficient robber who isn't going to explain himself to some cop. He had a personal beef with Bats, so that's why he monologued with him. McClane, not so much.

It must suck to be Bane. For the second time in a row he has become the henchman for a villainess 😆
Talia was more of a figurehead than anything, imo. The movie was kind of vague about their relationship, but I felt that Bane was the real leader. Unless Talia is some kind of brilliant prodigy, the LOS is probably going to listen to the huge hulking man instead of the little lady. That's sexism, but what can you do?
As for the scenario, John McClane loses badly in straight H2H. But if Bane and his men simply replace Hans Gruber and his guys at Nakatomi Plaza and the plot goes on as normal, I see things going pretty much the same as in the movie. Bane won't face an armed man like John unless he had an advantage.
I'm mad we're comparing Bane to Gruber. Batman would straight-up punk Gruber and all of his men. Bane? Yea, good luck with that.
Gruber took over a skyscraper.
Spoiler:
Bane was running Gotham City for 5 months, kicked its superhero's ass to the brink of death, toppled the people in power, buried the police, broke everyone out of prison, had his ultra-loyal assassins riding around the city in tanks, and made the U.S. government watch while all this happened. When Special Forces did move in their asses were hung on a bridge and shown on national television.
Bane is clearly on a completely different level. Dude made the events of 9/11 and Bin Laden look puny.

Sorry, a cop + gun + willing to kill > Bane. Just accept that the new shiny only succeeded cos Batman isn't a gun wielding killer.
I know it's hard since TDKR just came out and Bane's the new fanboy favorite, but TRY.
