Any other human would have ripped the ligements out of his fingers from their forearm OR would have just lost their grip. A full grown man doing that is multiple times greater than peak-level human strength.
So, basically, I accept the absurd from both franchises and reject the notion that McClane has a chance. Indiana Jones has Hulk-Levels of durability.
