Lady Shiva vs Elektra

The thing is, Danny's the standard. Top five martial artists, easy.

Batroc had a gang of thugs with him, and still couldn't beat him. Davo had the Iron Fist, AND a fancy wrist thing that spit fire, and he still lost.

Cat, if he held his own, did well enough to damage Danny's costume as he did before the distraction, and lost, it would have been a feat.

Proving he can lay him out with any sort of opening, is also a feat. Other martial artists and metas have tried, and failed, with more going for then then Danny's mistake.

Batroc or outside chacters are irrelevant. Cat vs Danny that is how it was portrayed and no amount of this or that is changing that. Danny won straight up as legit of victory as it gets, while the Cat won a circumstantial victory. Speculation is fine but in the end irrelevant.

Where to start...

"Depowered" Hercules still had multi ton feats under his belt, he was wielding an assortment of magic weapons... and he never actually beat Elektra He merely broke Elektra's sai with a magic sword... awesome.

Black Widow is a female super soldier. She has super human strength and speed. Regardless of those facts, the skirmish wasn't even real fight, Elektra was trying to get a point across.

Comparing Elektra prior to her resurrection with Elektra post resurrection, is absurd. She got a massive power amp. Same with pre and post brain tumor Bullseye.

Bullseye has a fanatical obsession with Elektra, he has studied her so completely that he can reader body movement the same way that Batgirl reads everyone... and he still has never beaten her since she had been resurrected by the hand.

Also let's pretend that Shiva fighting Shadow Dragon is an awesome feat for her... and not a laughable embarrassment for Superman!

Elektra is more skilled than Lady Shiva. She's more skilled than Batgirl. She's more skilled than Batman. I'm back to educate you fools. So take a number and step up to get knocked down. Now serving number:

Lady Shiva's trump card is that she posses an ability to read people's body language. Two of Elektra's primary foils have that self same ability... neither of them have been able to beat her, even with the cards stacked heavily in their favor, for a very long time. Bullseye fanatical obsession with Elektra and his training to counter her has given him the ability to read her like a book and predict her moves. Daredevil's super sense give him precise body reading abilities that were sufficient enough for him to one up a superhuman with legitimate precog in h2h. It's simply not enough. Shiva has - quite literally - nothing to offer Elektra that she hasn't seen and countered many times. She's slower, weaker, and less skilled than Elektra and would be exposed in short order if the two ever fought.

This thread is laughable.

I'd also like to say I love all the griping on Elektra "losing" to Hercules and Black Widow. Shiva running away from Katana and getting pounded on by Huntress at the end of their fight, are FAR more legitimate demerits, and against much lower rung characters I might add.

Shiva didn't treat Huntress seriously in that fight and was owning her before that. Even Gail has mentioned that on her boards.

^Gail also conveniently forgot Shiva's ability to fight blind-folded, seeing how she was getting her arse handed to her after Huntress pulled off that cheap tactic of spilling blood in her eyes.

For a writer who usually treats female characters with great respect, Gail is notorious for jobbing the hell out of Shiva. The other incident with Cheshire is proof of that.

Srank doesn't debate. He simply states any and every opinion he has on theoretical croossover comic book match ups as undeniable fact and scolds whoever disagrees.

What exactly makes Elektra more skilled than Shiva, or anyone else you named? According to on panel evidence I mean, not yout highly questionable selfsupported proclamations.

Oveereem didn't treat Bigfoot serious in their fight and was owning him before that. I'm sure that comforts him when he looks back at how he arrogantly underestimated his opponent and got knocked out.

Make all the excuses you want, but that type of shit doesn't happen to Elektra. Tortured for unspecified periods of time, half dead, starved, sleep deprived, with broken limbs, and Elektra still beats whoever she is fighting. What was the last fight Shiva even won before the reboot? Connor Hawke? Catwoman? Does that even count? She ended the fight unconcious too. Other than that it's a long string of excuses for why she lost. Talia brained her with a chair for a one shot ko. Prometheus destroyed her (later revealed not even the real Prometheus). Batman one shotted her. Batgirl beat several times fought. She couldn't beat Huntress. She's got more excuses than fighting styles but her record sucks. She doesn't have the wins. She doesn't have the feats. Her reputation is nothing but words. Elektra backs her rep up with actions.

This. That second run on Gail's BOP was pretty bad. The only good thing about it was Mortal Kombat lookalike White Canary. 😛

Some characters are mishandled and/or used as jobbers for periods of time. I assumed that everyone who reads comics already knew that.
