Ok. Even if the PAUNCH! was taken out of context in the anime, I think Captain Falcon should have a spot in ASBOST, just to show him some well-deserved respect.

Wrong. The Avatar State is significantly more dangerous for Aang to use at any point in time, due to the stipulation that if he is defeated while in it, the line of succession will be destroyed. The Avatar will cease to exist. As such, its immense power is curtailed by that danger. Goku going Super Saiyan has never come with the concern that, should he die, his children and grandchildren will cease to exist. Not directly, in any case.

So what your saying is that he cant use it as he pleases wrong he used on the fire lord in just a few seconds and the fire lord was wiping the floor with him until he used it. Not only tat he can take your bending away.

Please don't put words in my mouth. I get enough of that with quanchi. I was pointing how, despite how powerful it is, using the Avatar State comes with a huge risk. Not to mention that if Aang is ever emotionally unbalanced he won't be able to control it.

Anyhow what I'm saying is that we should list Aang (and Korra) separately from the Avatar State as that state is closer to a singluar entity that is equally shared with every single Avatar in the series' past. See this was we can compare the target Avatar out of the State in threads.

Hence the split vote; Aang for for Low Meta, Avatar's for Mid Meta.

Let me know how it turns out. I was turned off by the change in development and voice actors, but if it has surmountable redeeming qualities, let me know.

As BR pointed out, the Avatar State consists of numerous entities essentially acting vicariously through one, so technically, Aang is not on the same level, as he requires the remainder of the Avatar line to ascend in power.
