There a more Stormtrooper cameo's: Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch... I hope one day they'll tell us which they are. And that is not a spoiler, is it? I think not.

I'd assume they are each a stormtrooper with dialogue. You'd think one of them is

Spoiler:
the trooper with that vibro-tonfa thing that fights Finn outside of Maz Kanata's

I dunno, why would I assume that? Maybe they walk by.

Spoiler:
If that guy that fights with Finn is any of these two, I'm sure it's Cruise

I can't wait to see it again

Yeah sort of... maybe up there with ROTJ. Not entirely sure yet, but better than the prequels.

Return of the Jedi has always been "Meh" to me. Great beginning and a cool conclusion, but the middle is so boring. And I just could never get behind the Ewoks defeating the stormtroopers.

Same here. But everything with Vader, Luke and Palpy is almost beyond comparison. I wish the whole movie had made more sense.

First we have the mini-movie "Saving Private Han Solo" and then we get the cut teddy bears defeating the Empire's finest.

Spoiler:
i just have to assume that luke made something of a jedi youngling of rey before leaving her. that fast forward force training was a bit much.

Pardon?

Rey and Luke don't know each other.

Spoiler:
I kinda think Rey will end up being his daughter.

Yeah I wonder if her family history will be a big deal

Spoiler:
I kinda thought that way too, but now I am pretty confident that she is not. She's the new generation of Jedi, unrelated to Skywalker. It is after all a reboot too.

Just got back from watching this. Wasn't disappointed. After the shitty prequel trilogy killed a lot of my enthusiasm for the franchise, episode 7 got me interested again. Not a perfect movie (I have a few minor gripes here and there), but one I enjoyed quite a bit.

Not a reboot.

Yes, it is. If no one went to see it, SW would shut down today. SW is also a product. So this is certainly a reboot.

You guys are thinking of two different uses of the word reboot

I need to agree here.

ANH/ESB are my faves.

It's not a reboot; it's a continuation, hence episode VII.

100% agree.

TESB>ANH>ROTJ>The entire PT

It's a reboot disguised as a continuation. We have a whole new set of characters to step into this new universe. The old ones are here to send them off and poof... there's something new.

To reboot means to discard all continuity in an established series in order to recreate its characters, timeline and backstory from the beginning.

It's definitely a continuation, though.
