I did! But there was some good humor in it as well.

Next time I'm gonna watch it in a Dolby Theatre with lasre projection. And in 2D this time, done with watching movies with sunglasses.

its just not you, i also had problems with that and

the way rey just randomly kicks ass with her newly found powers, it was like a light switch.

I found that moment to be enormously cringe-worthy and forced

Hopefully we get a good explanation in episode 8 or 9 because that was one of my major gripes with the film.

👆 I enjoyed her character in general but she was too overpowered too early

I agree. And I hope we don't get any explanations! Just move the story forward please.

To be able to do what she did, Rey must be incredibly strong in the force. This leads me to believe she's Luke's long lost daughter.

It's possible Luke sent Rey to Jakku for safety from the dark side just as Obi Wan had sent Luke to Tattoine for safety from Vader.

the whole 10 seconds of luke also pissed me off. i understand that they are saving him for the next movie. but we've already see this before with yoda. all they have done with luke now is replaced yoda with him. its yoda in empires strike back all over again.

she handed him his sword. It was like the saber became a bridge for them to meet again. The Force was calling to her, and used the saber as a medium to find her long-lost father, Luke. If she is indeed a Skywalker, then that is the reason why she mastered the Force quickly.

I don't consider it better than any of the original trilogy, but it's a good enough continuation. I can already see Episode 8 being a much darker film with Rian Johnson to helm.

at least there are no more lucas's kiddy crap in these new films like jar jar, ewoks and other kiddy stuff. the lucas factor is now gone, finally.
