talk about something interesting and evidence-based and i'd be happy to join in. i dont care who thinks which character is more badass. boba fett was the coolest badass of them all, and he died like a chump poser. 'cool' does not factor into interesting SW debates, imho.
I agree you can't prove anything but since the film came out I do enjoy hearing people's preferences. It's like arguing the color orange is superior to blue.

there is so much up in the air to speculate and debate over, though.

Hey, if you guys want boring 1 dimensional villains more power to you. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm just glad Kylo is so different than the usual Star Wars villain. For me, it's a WELCOME change of pace.

Do you honestly think Vader is "one dimensional" though?

The tide will change. It always does but in the meantime I want to hear more anger over Kylo and Vader.

No. BUT, in his FIRST FILM, he was. Yes, there was mystery about him too (same with Kylo), but he didn't really show alot of emotion or depth as a character whatsoever in A NEW HOPE.

speaking of kylo...i didnt particulary care for

Spoiler:
snoke being the one to reveal to the audience that he's han/leia's son.
. i just found it the lamest of all possible ways they could have revealed it.

Agreed.

Spoiler:
I also think the first time he should have taken of his mask is when Han tells him too.

I don't disagree with either of the above statements.

👍

Some people are insecure about their opinions and feel the need to disguise them as fact.

That didn't bother me. What bothered me was
Spoiler:
Leia walking right past Chewie post Han death.

you know what that is...racism.

I disagree. Liked the way they handled that.

No what? Vader is cooler. As was Maul, though unfortunately in Maul's case that's all there is to the character.

And of course Ren isn't iconic yet. He's hasn't even been around for a week yet.

Vader became Iconic immediately as far as I can tell. (I wasn't around at the time).

Fair enough if you're just talking about ANH. Still think he had some depth still, but was fleshed out in ESB and ROTJ.

A one dimensional villain to me would be Darth Maul in PM.

it looks like we had some pretty different reactions btw.

^ Of course in TPM Sidious was clearly the main villain (did a lot more from behind the scenes than Snoke) whilst Maul's role was simply to look threatening and give us great action sequences. Be the "face" of the Sith revealing themselves. Maul fit that role perfectly.
