That would make no sense at all.

I guess his granddaughter is possible though.

Your right, completely disregarded the time gap

I wouldn't mind grand daughter either though, as long as his line continues. It would really bug me if Sidious' line continues over Obi-wans

I agree with the rumors that Snoke is probably Darth Plagueis.

I am hoping Snoke isn't and that he just comes from the same race

Why was Ren such a b*tch?

Why are you such a b*tch?

Deep questions yo

Could a ***** get your mom's mouth pregnant?

Absolutely.

Ok, good.

Just making sure before I made my move.

They look very different races to me.

all he did was tell and/or demonstrate to luke that these tricks could be done. that's really the extent of obiwan's 'training' of luke: getting him to believe in the force and in his own abilities. rey didnt seem to have any problem believing in both, nor any reservations about exploring it. luke was a stubborn self-doubting ass and needed ben to prod him into action.

all ben did was tell him that he could use the force to do stuff. luke gets shot. ben and han argue about the notion of luck, ben puts a blast shielded helmet on his head, and tells him to operate on instinct. luke blocks 3 times. that's not a lesson. it's brief and vague advise.

we never saw luke attempt it until ESB. we never see him learn or even witness TK until the hoth snowbeast scene. point being that there's no proof that luke did not intuit telekinesis in that cave, with no instruction. unless ben instructed him further as a ghost [beyond talking to him in the death star run and only telling him once again to believe in the force and in himself.]

Nah, Ben didn't just say "you can do it". He taught him HOW to access the Force effectively. And that's just what we saw. I think it's a silly notion to assume the movie showed us Every lesson in the Force out heroes ever had.

I still feel like the notion of "training" is being completely undermined here. That was always a big part of it even in the OT. "Only a Fully trained Jedi will conquer Vader and his Emperor"- Yoda in ESB.

No-no, this is correct. Luke was never taught how to use TK but he did on Hoth, before training.

Points out that some force abilities come naturally.

That's not a problem and actually fits with what we've seen of the force.

What annoys me is that Rey's usage of the force is a little to good for someone who didn't even know it existed: least to our knowledge.

She clearly knew about it. Hell Han told her it was real and she knew she was strong with it.

Luke did have some training from Ben. And still he didn't learn Tk overnight. He learned it between movies.

no, it's silly to assert that some sort of deep training was done off screen in ANH when they clearly had no time for that.

[..]i accept that ben might easily have clued him in to TK off-screen...that can be accomplished with just further conversation. "oh yeah...almost forgot...you can make stuff levitate, too". that also is based on pure speculation though.

Han told her it existed but she had no knowledge that she was strong with it as Kylo says as much.
