I don't understand why the plot always has to comply and conform to your expectations. She learned quickly with no training, but so what? I don't see anything wrong if she ends up being the greatest Jedi ever. She has certainly shown that potential, being able to hold her own against a semi-trained Sith like her cousin even with no training and utilizing only her staff skills with the saber.

No one complained when a waitress in her mid-20s with absolutely no combat experience named Sarah Connor became a gun-throttling, female Rambo.

I had more issues with Finn the Janitor holding his own against Kylo.

Sarah Connor wasn't a gun-throttling, female Rambo in the first film. It took years of training and trauma to make her that.

Think before you type.

Shut up, you filthy vegan, SJW, westerner.

snoke's theme is identical to the first 2 minutes of "Palpatine's Teachings" from the ROTS soundtrack, which is playing when he recounts the tale of darth Plagueis.

It's all but confirmed imo.

Prepare to defend Palpatine when that turns out to be confirmed. 😉

He had to train to learn how to block blaster fire. Using the force to destroy the DS was nowhere as impressive as the feats Ren had.

And yet he still wasn't critically injured. Probably was a flesh wound based on the lack of blood loss and lack of restriction in movement. We've never seen a non force user who had no training with a lightsaber engage in a lightsaber battle with a force user.

Finn couldn't even beat some random stormtrooper with the saber.

So you believe th crossbow blaster only basically performed a paper cut. That's quite a strong stance. I guess Lightsaber wounds and crossbow blasts are comparable to a butter knife accident. He also tried to persuade her to train her mid battle.

Showing that all of these guys are trained. Finn isn't some chump off the streets. He was trained his whole life as are the rest of the Stormtroopers.

I'm saying the blaster didn't cause him to be critically wounded. I could kill you with a butter knife so I wouldn't be quick to dismiss one btw.

Compared to Kylo in a lightsaber battle he should be a chump. Looks like I'm the only real Kylo fan between us. Traitor!

It hit him in the stomach if you don't feel that plays a factor then you need to watch the film again.

He was a chump against an injured Kylo.

Do not underplay the guy who in one film already surpassed Vader in terms of evil.

It hit him in the side.

Nah, he injured Kylo.

Don't tell me, the #1Kylo fan, what to do, you traitor.

I don't know. For never having held a lightsaber before, Fin took Kylo to task. Lets not forget, more importantly, Rey was able to unhinge, Kylo. Kylo was obviously more powerful and skilled but the encounter was presented as though, Rey had a chance, even if just by luck. Neither, Rey or Fin should have been able to muster any kind of opposition against, Kylo. It's just lazy writing to me.

The movie needed lightsaber scenes, so they had to get them in there some how.

How is Kylo more evil than Vadar? Even though this has no bearing on skill i'm just curious why you feel, Kylo is more evil.

If that turns out to be the case, I won't need to. Because that means Plagueis had to wait until Palpy died to reveal himself to the Galaxy. Shameful. What a coward. 😉

This is exactly my issue with the fight. It was forced into the film just for the sake of it.

You mean like the duels in the first two prequels?

i get that you like the film, but you're trying wayyyyyy too hard.

Not even trying. Merely pointing out that flaw exists in the prequels as well. Heck, it's even more apparent in TPM as Maul has no reason to be in the film at all.

I don't remember anything that happened or why they happened in the prequels tbh.

So you believe a wound into the stomach wouldn't affect you in a fight ?

The same stormtrooper who defeated him was taken out by one shot from the crossbow caster.

Snoke all the way.

Or he foresaw that events had to unfold in that manner. Palpatine's sheer ignorance and ineptitude will finally be complete having no idea his attempts failed and that he never took down the Sith's true dark lord.

Finn held it and used it against the stormtrooper. Kylo was unhinged quite easily when things didn't go his way. We see that throughout the film. Kylo put Finn down and toyed with him until the shoulder graze then immediately cut him down.

Spoiler:
Turning on Luke and actually killing his father. Vader failed against his own son.

The only thing you need to remember is that Jar Jar was a sith lord all along.

Surely if this movie is so great you shouldn't need to attack the Prequels in order to defend it?

But if you want to do this in order to divert attention from TFA's flaws then:

Maul was hardly forced in there when his mission to get the Queen and kill the Jedi in the process, something Nute Gunray failed to do at the beginning of the movie, was built up throughout the film, and finally came into fruition in the film's Epic final battle. A battle even haters of the PT will point out as one of it's positives.

I saw the YouTube video about that. Mind = blown. Too bad it might get scrapped now that Lucas is no longer at the helm.
