Luke: Vader... Is the dark side stronger?
Yoda: No, no, no. Quicker, easier, more seductive.

IMO, the only prequel that is even close to TFA is ROTS.

ROTS is better IMO.

I watched the OT movies years before I saw the prequels and ROTS is still easily my favourite Star Wars movie.

She Must have had training as a child. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.

My question is why Kylo Ren pursues the dark side for the sake of power, when it's been established not be stronger. Yoda explained it to Luke, and Luke should've explained it to Kylo Ren.

I always figured that, while they are equally powerful, the dark side is a more useful in a fight. “Easily they flow. Quick to join you in a fight.” And we see this multiple times where the hero uses the dark side and suddenly they gain the advantage.

People can be talked into anything

Especially when they're drooling out of their mouths like Kylo Ren.

The Dark side is clearly more powerful. It is not actively running and hiding, instead opting to get shit done.

Blasphemy! That's some sith ideals

The dark side is definitely stronger.

The only way this could work out is if Kylo Ren was purposely trained in the light- and dark side of the force, like this entry suggests.

But even that would be difficult to do right because it's contradicted with Anakin who was trained as a Jedi but fell to the dark side.

You're contradicting the source material.

How so ?

Snoke is clearly experimenting with another form of balance of the force.

Because Yoda said so.

The darkside isn't stronger but it is more destructive. However, that destructive power affects the wielder as well and comes at a high price.

Like Yoda explains, the dark side is the quick and easy way. Nothing more.

An interesting moment to me, that I don't think anyone's touched on: When Rey comes back from the Starkiller base and sees Leia for the first time. They share a look and a hug, as though they've known each other awhile. Now, I know it's to show their closeness to Han (and thus each other) but I found it cool because, prior to that moment, they had never seen each other (that we know of) yet they clearly had a bond. Just a nice moment, imo.

The darkside is quicker, easier, more seductive. Not stronger.

Yoda isn't infallible and he's the dipshit that was outwitted by Sidious. The dark side is stronger.

False. It is stronger.
