Been thinking about how bizarre this whole issue is. Who even really pays attention to statues in their home towns? My home town voted heavily for independence from the UK and is quite anti-royal yet there's statues of Queen Victoria but no one bats an eyelid at it.
Saying that, we have a statue of a dragon as well as Lemmings and characters from local comics so not sure if we're the best example.

Do not get it twisted, this isn't about statues. Not really. They don't care. People have been living their lives just fine with these statues around. This is about Trump. They are tying Trump to the neo nazis, etc. Or at least trying to do so.
So any statue that comes down, in their delusional minds, is a victory against Trump, is a "f*ck you" to Trump.
Funny thing, there is a statue of Lenin in Seattle. Republicans wanted it down before the Dems who control the city. Weird, with this Russia shit how the statue got ignored until now.

Fair point. Could well be right. It really is retarded to a massive degree. With all the problems the US has it seems maybe energies can be better channeled into something more productive.

There are classes like that on a lot of left leaning school campuses plus large left leaning groups like BLM pushing the notion that only white people CAN be racist. Plus Bernie Sanders and many of his supporters saying things like white people will never know what it feels like to truly be poor(despite the large number of white people who are born in and live in ghettos or are outright homeless).

Here's another thing about the Confederate Monuments, as per Public law 810 Confederate Soldiers are considered to be every bit as much American Veterans as Union Soldiers are. They're not "terrorist", they're not "traitors", or anything else like that. Confederate Veterans received equal military veteran's benefits as Union Solders.

To non dumbshits, there is a history of oppression and different rules applying to them in America. eg harsher punishments for equal crimes.
