Surfer wasnt being mind controlled. He was just experiencing illusions (per Abhi) in order to induce fear.

Bottomline: It's faulty to argue as if these things actually happened and ignore the intentions of the writer. It's pretty clear that the writer wanted Surfer to have the ability to not only perceive events on that time scale but make significant body movements within that time scale as well. Otherwise, he would have used "second" instead.

It's an illusion. It doesn't matter.

Ego set a parameter. Unfortunately, the comic did not present anything further other than Surfer facing off against the immune system in a variety of ways.
What I'm going by are these two things. Based on them, I'd have to think that his immune system should be capable of attacking at or around speeds that ego had presented.

If Surfer had stayed on his board exclusively and proceeded to speed his way through the atrackers, then I wouldnt think as highly of the showing.

So you have no actual combat feats for these 'hyperlight viruses'. So the antibodies that can deal with said 'hyperlight viruses' do not need to out-react them - we have seen many times in comics that travel=/=combat.

So.....Surfer doing what he does is....a bit crap as a feat, lol. He outreacted antibodies, big woop! Why is that impressive? Because said antibodies deal with 'hyperlight viruses'? But as you said, combat=/=travel, so please show some actual speed feats, lol.

Surfer was not just travelling. He was fighting both on and off his board. And as per ego, his immune system is designed to kill hyperlight intruders. Ergo, his immune system should be able to attack at or around those speeds. Thats the only thing we can go on.

So the antibodies don't need to be that fast.

So Surfer dealing with them doesn't mean.....anything.

And ive said before, he has perception and reaction speed that his board does not govern.
Im sure someone like goob or ambient may have mentioned them alreafy.

For example.. Im sure most of u guys have seen his reaction feats, but...

Grabs Nova(has superspeed) by the neck and throws him away. It happenned so fast Nova thought it was an energy beam. That's pretty crazy. And please dont tell me his board controlled his limbs to snatch and grab Nova by the neck.
