Judd Apatow Directing 'The 40 Year-Old Virgin'
[Wednesday, October 20th, 2004]Judd Apatow is to make his feature directorial debut in Universal Pictures The 40 Year-Old Virgin, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Steve Carell will star in the comedy, which he co-wrote with Apatow. The idea for a middle-age coming-of-age tale came while they both worked on 'Anchorman'.
"I was constantly amazed how funny Steve was on the set of 'Anchorman' and wanted to create an opportunity where he was the lead," Apatow said.
