New Line Look 'After The Sunset'
[Wednesday, June 26th, 2002]New Line Cinema has acquired a spec by tyro scribe Paul Zbyszewski, "After the Sunset," in a preemptive bid, reports Variety.
This story begins where most heist movies end, with the master thief sailing off to an island paradise after his last big score. However, he soon discovers he's bored stiff. When his lifelong nemesis, an FBI agent, shows up to make sure the thief is really retired, a new cat-and-mouse game of friendship, suspicion and thievery begins.
Alissa Ferguson, director of development at Firm Films, brought the project to the studio.
