Spy Report from AI Extra

DarkHorizons have posted a spy report from an extra that was working on the movie:
"In early October I was a 'featured extra' on the set of Steven Spielberg's "A.I.". To give you an idea, I have attached a drawing of what the set looked like. It was kind of like a carnival or fair type arena. It was a round arena with an opening at each end. Looking down from above, which is what the drawing shows, you see and entrance to your left, bleachers extending to each side and rounding off and then ending. To the right you see a stage. The stage was two stories tall. The band, Ministry, played on the second story, and underneath them were robots in a jail like place with bars. They were being held there. The whole reason for this scene, is to show that real humans, not artificial ones, now get pleasure from watching robots(artificial intel.) being destroyed. Behind the stage were a group of tents. Oh yeah, the stage had two huge LCD screens which gave the audience in the bleachers a better look at the robots being destroyed. The round tent in the back was a tech tent, in the movie it will look as if the people in this tent are controlling what goes on the LCD screens. Apparently, Spielberg and his humor had to add in a "MechDonalds". At the bottom right of the drawing.
There were 1000 extras hired on for five days, and 300 of them stayed for the full nine days. One of those people being me. :) They also hired huge bodybuilder type people, women and men, who reminded me of overgrown steroid freaks, called Bulls in the movie. They were kind of like bouncers at this carnival. They also helped clean up the robot remains. Ummmm."
