Paramount has bought the rights to the trilogy of buddy comedy children's books Aliens for Breakfast, "Aliens for Lunch," and "Aliens for Dinner," according to Variety.

The movie is an adaptation of the first book in the series, Aliens for Breakfast, which was written by Jonathan Etra and Stephanie Spinner.

Story revolves around a curmudgeonly alien space cop sent to Earth to find an escaped alien convict and landing in the apartment of an unsuspecting junior high school principal. The duo are forced to become partners and capture the convict alien.
