Schindler's List Takes On 'All The Kings Men'
[Wednesday, October 30th, 2002]Steven Zaillian ("Schindler's List") is circling a remake of "All the King's Men," the 1949 political drama that won Oscars for best picture, actor (Broderick Crawford) and supporting actress (Mercedes McCambridge), reports Variety.
Insiders say the new picture will draw far more heavily on Robert Penn Warren's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel than the original movie, which revolved around the rise and fall of a backwoods political messiah.
