Anthony Hopkins In 'All The King's Men' Talks

Anthony Hopkins, Patricia Clarkson and James Gandolfini are in talks to join Columbia Pictures' remake of the social drama All the King's Men, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Clarkson is in talks to play the role of Sadie, a role Meryl Streep recently dropped out of. Sadie is the aide to Willy Stark, the populist Southern politician, to be played by Sean Penn. Hopkins is in negotiations to play Judge, while Gandolfini would play Tiny.

The movie, helmed by Steven Zaillian, is an adaptation of Robert Penn Warren's novel, which is based on the life of the late Louisiana Gov. Huey Long. Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Mark Ruffalo also star in the film.
