Kevin Bacon Joins Queen Latifahs 'Beauty Shop'
[Wednesday, April 7th, 2004]Kevin Bacon has come aboard the cast of the comedy Barbershop spinoff Beauty Shop, according to Variety.
Bacon will play Jorge, a flamboyant owner of a hair salon who becomes the nemesis of a former employee (played by Queen Latifah) after she quits working for him and starts up her own competing beauty shop in Atlanta.
Mena Suvari, Alicia Silverstone, Djimon Hounsou and Lil' JJ round out the cast of the spinoff.
Director Billie Woodruff (Honey) is directing the comedy, which has already begun production.
