Experiment Director In Talks For 'Blade 3'

Director Oliver Hirschbiegel ("Das Experiment") is in talks with writer-producer David Goyer to helm the third installment in the "Blade" franchise, reports Variety.

Speaking at the Filmfest Muenchen, Hirschbiegel said he would be thrilled to lens the comicbook pic, but added that no deal had yet been inked.

"Blade 2," starring Wesley Snipes as the preternatural vampire killer, has made $125 million worldwide.

Hirschbiegel has been reviewing a number of offers from Hollywood following the international success of "Das Experiment," a psychological thriller about a study group recruited to live as prisoners and guards.
