Wilson Jumps On 'The Big Bounce'

Owen Wilson is eyeing a starring role in an adaptation of Elmore Leonard's "The Big Bounce," reports Variety

The movie is to be directed by George Armitage ("Grosse Pointe Blank").

In the sexy noir tale, Wilson will play a charming drifter who hooks up with a criminally minded beauty while trying to figure out if he can trust the friendship of a powerful local figure, Mr. Majestyk.

Sebastian Gutierrez ("Judas Kiss") adapted the screenplay. Leonard will act as a consultant on the production.

Production is slated to begin in the fall, with Hawaii a location possibility.
