Stephen Collins Joins 'Blood Diamond'

Stephen Collins has joined Leonardo DiCaprio in director Ed Zwick's Blood Diamond, says the Hollywood Reporter.The story centers on a poor African farmer, played by Djimon Hounsou, who gets caught up in a conflict between an U.S. diamond smuggler (DiCaprio) and the syndicate that controls the local diamond mining industry. Collins plays an ambassador.
Filming is currently underway in South Africa.
