Mark Bamford Directing 'Cape Of Good Hope'

Mark Bamford is to make his directing debut by helming Cape of Good Hope, a low-budget U.S./South Africa co-production according to Variety.

The movie will be an ensemble piece about six culturally and racially diverse people whose lives connect around an animal rescue shelter in a seaside community in Cape Town.

The South African cast includes Nthathi Moshesh, Eriq Ebouaney and Nick Boraine.

"We fell in love with the country and its diverse people and cultures," Bamford said, "so we sold the house in L.A. and stayed on. This film is really my love letter to the post-apartheid Rainbow Nation."
