Paul Newman Leads Pixar's 'Cars' Animation
[Wednesday, January 28th, 2004]Paul Newman has landed the lead role in Pixar Animation's Cars. Newman will voice the lead car in the animated movie, being directed by Toy Story's John Lasseter.
'Cars' is described as a high-octane adventure comedy that features a wide assortment of autos as characters who get their kicks on Route 66.
Newman will join Bonnie Hunt, Owen Wilson, Dan Whitney and NASCAR vet Richard Petty. The movie is expected to get a 2005 holiday release.
