Johnny Knoxville In 'Daltry Calhoun' Talks

Johnny Knoxville is in talks to take the lead role in Miramax Films Daltry Calhoun, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The project is described as a dark comedy about a father (Knoxville) struggling to keep his once lucrative Tennessee golfing empire intact when his estranged 14-year-old daughter -- a gifted musician -- is unexpectedly left in his care.

Other stars signed up include Juliette Lewis, Elizabeth Banks, David Koechner and Kick Gurry. The project is gearing up for a September 25th start.
