Rob Schneider To Return As 'Deuce Bigalow'
[Wednesday, December 18th, 2002]Rob Schneider will return for another outing as the luckless "Deuce Bigalow," reports Variety.
Disney has given a flashing greenlight to a sequel -- which will be called "Deuce Bigalow: Electric Gigolo."
In an interview with Daily Variety, Schneider said the sequel may involve his character attending a Hogwarts-like academy for gigolos.
"He could be the 'Harry Potter' of sex," joked Schneider, who co-wrote the original with Harris Goldberg. He confirmed he is now working on the script to the sequel, with an eye to shooting next year.
The 1999 original -- in which Schneider's hapless aquarium-cleaning character must become a gigolo to repair the substantial damage he's done to the home of an actual gigolo -- was a surprise success for Disney; its domestic gross topped a robust $66 million.
