Boll Takes On 'Dungeon Siege' Game Adaptation
[Thursday, November 13th, 2003]Gas Powered Games' best-selling game Dungeon Siege is to be adapted by Boll KG for the big screen, according to the Hollywood Reporter
Uwe Boll will direct the $50 million film, which he calls "The Lord of the Rings" meets "Braveheart."
"After filming horror movies 'House of the Dead' and 'Alone in the Dark,' 'Dungeon Siege' gives me the opportunity to do a big feature in a genre that I'm a huge fan of: fantasy adventure," said Boll.
He added that the script will be finished by June and the project will be filmed in Canada and Eastern Europe in fall 2004 for a winter 2005 release.
