Green And Garrel Dream In Paris: UPDATED


Eva Green, daughter of French film star Marlene Jobert, and Louis Garrel, the son of Gallic helmer Philippe Garrel, have inked to co-star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Bernardo Bertolucci's "The Dreamers," reports Variety

Green and Garrell play a French sister and brother, who befriend an American (Gyllenhaal) studying in Paris during the student and worker uprising that swept through France in May 1968 culminating on the streets of Paris.

Fox searchlight is taking English language rights to the pic, which marks Bertoclucci's return to a Paris location thirty years after "Last Tango In Paris."

"The Dreamers" begins shooting this July.

The movie is set against the turbulent political backdrop of France in the spring of 1968. "Dreamers" details the story of Isabelle (Green) and her brother Theo (Garrel), who invite fellow student Matthew (Pitt), a young American, to stay at their apartment while their parents are on holiday. The trio experiment with one another's emotions and sexuality, playing a series of increasingly demanding mind games.

The project is scheduled to start shooting July 18 in central Paris
