Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony In 'El Cantante'

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are to star in the indie biopic of salsa singer Hector Lavoe El Cantante, according to Production Weekly.Leon Ichaso (Piņero) wrote the script and will direct the real-life couple with Lopez playing Hector's wife, Puchi.
Lavoe was one of the biggest Spanish-language singers in the 1970s, but personal tragedy and a heroin addiction left him penniless and dying from complications from AIDS. Known as salsa's bad boy, he had a crystal-clear voice and an incomparable talent for improvisation.
