Cate Blanchett To Star In 'Elizabeth' Sequel

Cate Blanchett is to star in the sequel Elizabeth: The Golden Age to the the 1998 film Elizabeth, according to Ananova.

Blanchett will reprise her role as the Virgin Queen in the movie which deals with the Tudor monarch's tempestuous relationship with Sir Walter Raleigh and suggests Elizabeth was infatuated with the adventurer.

Clive Owen will play Raleigh in the movie directed by Shekhar Kapur who also directed Elizabeth.
