Alexi Hawley To Rewrite 'Exorcist: The Beginning'

Alexi Hawley has been hired to rewrite Morgan Creek's Exorcist: The Beginning.

Hawley will do a production cleanup for the newly appointed director Renny Harlin, who has signed on to direct six weeks of reshoots after the original director, Paul Schrader, quit due to "creative differences", according to Hollywood Reporter sources.

The movie stars Stellan Skarsgard, Gabriel Mann, Clara Bellar and Billy Crawford, and is expected to be released next year.
