Cast Signup For 'Exorcism Of Anneliese Michel'

Campbell Scott, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Jennifer Carpenter have signed up to join the case of Screen Gems/Lakeshore Entertainment's horror thriller The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie, helmed by Scott Derrickson, is based on true events involving the Catholic Church officially recognizing the demonic possession of an 18-year-old German college freshman. The young woman died during her exorcism, and a priest stood trial for causing her death.

The script unfolds 'Rashomon'-style, with different points of view recounting the events.
