[Thursday, April 27th, 2006]Robert Benton has signed on to direct Feast of Love, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Based on a Charles Baxter novel, the film will reunite Benton with Lakeshore. The three-time Oscar-winning writer-director ("Kramer vs. Kramer") most recently helmed the 2003 drama "The Human Stain" for the company.
After "Feast of Love," he will direct "Appointment in Samarra" for Lakeshore from a screenplay he wrote. "Benton has the extraordinary ability to interpret and communicate complex human relationships," Lakeshore chairman and CEO Tom Rosenberg said. "He is the perfect director for the two films."
