Tim Hill To Return And Direct Sequel 'Garfield 2'

Director Tim Hill (Muppets in Space) has signed on to direct Garfield 2 the sequel to family comedy Garfield, according to Variety.

Hill also amassed numerous writing, directing and producing credits for Nickelodeon on such shows as "One Hundred Deeds of Eddie McDowd" and "Action League Now." At Comedy Central, Hill was the writer-director of half-hour comedy "Exit 57."

Fox received a solid performance last summer from Garfield, based on the long-running comic stripstrip, with $75 million domestically and $114 million in foreign markets.
