'Goodnight, And Good Luck' For George Clooney

[Tuesday, November 9th, 2004]

George Clooney is to direct and star in Goodnight, and Good Luck, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie follows renowned CBS News anchor Edward R. Murrow's legendary on-air confrontations with red-baiting Sen. Joseph McCarthy that helped bring down the infamous politician in the mid-1950s.

The cast also include David Strathairn and Patricia Clarkson.
Principal photography is set to begin February for seven weeks in Los Angeles.
