Colin Farrell To Go 'Home At The End Of The World'

Colin Farrell has agreed to receive scale salary to star in "A Home at the End of the World," an indie film to be directed by theater veteran Michael Mayer ("Thoroughly Modern Millie"), reports Variety.

"Home" is based on the first novel by Michael Cunningham, who later won the Pulitzer Prize for "The Hours." Cunningham has scripted the tale of two boyhood friends who reunite after college and form an unusual relationship with an older woman. Bobby, who'll be played by Farrell, falls in love with the woman, nixing the dream of his gay friend to father her child.

Mayer will begin casting the other leads right away, but the shooting schedule of the film is based on how quickly Intermedia mounts its Alexander the Great epic, with Oliver Stone directing his own script.
