Potter Teaser Trailer Description

Coming Attractions gives details on the upcoming 'Harry Potter' teaser trailer that will be making its theatrical debut this Friday (March 2nd):

The one line of dialogue is Hagrid telling Harry, 'Harry, you're the boy that lived!' If you have to go with one line that's a great one and the kid playing Harry gives this look of amazement then the best smile. It opens with a shot of Harry in the dark peering out a small barred window, I believe in the cupboard under the stairs, and you hear (presumably) Uncle say 'There's no such thing as magic!' right before the window is slammed shut. The WB logo dissolves into hundreds of owls and the next shot is Harry trying to catch one of the whirling envelopes and then a shot of the envelope just as shown on the teaser poster. A voice over of (presumably) Dumbledore reading the invitation out loud. Among the people, places and things shown are: Alan Rickman as Snapes (very creepy!), Hagrid (looks Andre the Giant big and spot on), Maggie Smith who looks disconcertingly like Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of the West (but not green), the trolls in the bank, Ron looking amazing, Hermoine looking smug, the Hogwarts Express train, a good overhead shot of the professors entering the dining room, a shot of all the kids throwing up their wizard's hats in the dining room, Harry walking with his white owl on his arm. Overall it looks amazing and I think if the whole film lives up to this trailer all the fans will be very happy.

We'll bring you the latest as we get it!
