Gary Oldman To Play Wizard Sirius Black

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Gary Oldman is in fact in talks to join the cast of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

According to the trade Oldman would play wizard Sirius Black, the escaped prisoner of Azkaban who is later revealed to be Harry Potter's godfather.

The third installment of the studio's franchise based on author J.K. Rowling's book series will begin production Feb. 17 2003.
