Robbie Coltrane Talks 'Harry Potter 3'

Robbie Coltrane, who plays Hagrid in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, says he enjoyed working with director Alfonso Cuaron. "A nightmare," joked Coltrane in an interview with Sci-Fi Wire. "Dreadful. No sense of humor. I don't know how he got the job. He must have slept with somebody."

"No, I adore him." he said seriously. "I think he's a wonderfully talented man. He's exactly the way I expected him to be, having seen his other films: slightly wild and crazy, rock and roll and adolescent, but phenomenally focused about what he wants to do."

Coltrane didn't want to say much on Cuaron taking over the directors chair from Chris Columbus for the third movie. "I don't want to dis anybody or say anyone is better than anyone else," the actor said. "Every film is a year in the life of the children [Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint]. This film had to be darker and more rock and roll and immediate. A big-budget movie, if you're not careful, is a cumbersome beast. It's hard to keep a level of agility and vitality going. [Cuaron] kept the camera moving all the time, which the [visual-effects] people so hate. It's mind-blowing, complicated stuff."
