Johnny 'Jackass' Knoxville Takes On 'Hating Her'

Johnny Knoxville has nabbed a lead role in Tom Bezucha's indie Hating Her, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Knoxville will join Selma Blair, Blythe Danner, Logan Marshall-Green, Bridget Moynahan, Donald Sutherland and Maura Tierney in the project, due to begin production in March in Los Angeles.

The $10 million-budgeted for the movie follows the Stone family as they unite in a common cause when the favorite son (Knoxville) arrives home for the holidays with his uptight girlfriend (Moynahan). Overwhelmed by the hostile reception from the family, Moynahan's character begs her sister (Blair) to join her and lend emotional support, only to trigger more complications.

"We are thrilled Johnny is joining this incredible cast," said Quay Hays from Idiom Films. "He's an amazingly talented and charismatic actor, and audiences will see a new side to him in this unique role."

He was most recently seen onscreen in Jackass: The Movie and next stars in Grand Theft Parsons.
