Tambien Star Joins 'Dirty Dancing 2'

"'Y Tu Mama Tambien'" star Diego Luna is ready to step in where Patrick Swayze left off as the male lead in "'Havana Nights'," according to Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will be the second installment of the "'Dirty Dancing'" franchise, with Lawrence Bender producing. With Luna's deal set and Guy Ferland ("Bang Bang You're Dead") at the helm, the only major piece missing is Luna's dancing partner, who has yet to be cast.

Sources said producers hope to zero in on a female lead in the coming weeks, with shooting scheduled to start early next year and a release date of Nov. 21, 2003, already marked on the calendar. Inspired by the 1987 original but set in 1959.
