Romola Garai Gets Lead In 'Dirty Dancing 2'

Romola Garai ("Nicholas Nickleby") has got the starring role opposite Diego Luna in Miramax Film's "Havana Nights: Dirty Dancing 2," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The project -- to be directed by Guy Ferland ("Bang, Bang, You're Dead") and produced by Lawrence Bender -- is slated to begin production in February, with a scheduled release date of Nov. 21, 2003.

Inspired by 1987's "Dirty Dancing," "Nights" follows the story of a 17-year-old (Garai) who moves with her family to revolution-era Cuba, where she falls for a young Cuban dancer (Luna) who helps her "discover herself and the world beyond her sheltered existence."
