Alfonso Cuaron To Direct 'The History Of Love'

Director Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) has signed onto direct the adaptation of Nicole Krauss' upcoming novel The History of Love, according to Variety.

The History of Love tells the story of a long-lost book that mysteriously reappears and connects an old man searching for his son with a girl seeking a cure for her mother's loneliness.

"It's a book that requires real tenderness without being overly sentimental, and that is something Alfonso does very well," producer David Heyman said.
