Edward Norton To Star In 'The Illusionist'

Edward Norton is to star as lead in director Neil Burger's The Illusionist, a bigscreen adaptation of Steven Millhauser's short story "Eisenheim the Illusionist," according to Variety.

Norton plays a magician in turn-of-the-century Vienna who falls in love with a woman well above his social standing. When she becomes engaged to a prince, the magician uses his powers to win her back and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna.

The Illusionist is scheduled for an April start in Prague.
