Hobbits Are Lord Of The MTV Awards
[Tuesday, April 23rd, 2002]The first "Lord Of The Rings" film has topped the nominations for this year's MTV Movie Awards.
It is in the running in six categories, followed by "The Fast And The Furious" and "Rush Hour 2" with five each.
The winners will be announced in Los Angeles on June 1.
Other nominees include "Moulin Rouge" and "Shrek" (four each); "A Knight's Tale", "Legally Blonde" and "Pearl Harbor" (three each); and "American Pie 2", "Black Hawk Down" and "Tomb Raider" (two each).
The awards feature unorthodox categories including Best On Screen Team, Best Villain, Best Fight and Best Kiss.
The nominees have been chosen by MTV US viewers and fans can vote for their choice of winners by logging on to MTV.
