Brad Silberling In Final 'Juno' Comedy Talks
[Thursday, November 10th, 2005]Lemony Snicket director Brad Silberling is in final talks to helm Mandate Pictures comedy Juno, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The feature is described as an acerbic comedy about a teenage girl faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The screenplay was written by Minneapolis-based journalist and author Diablo Cody.
"Brad has amassed a list of truly impressive film credits as a director, many of which deftly explore humor in very complex and sometimes uncomfortable situations," Mandate's Nathan Kahane said. "We are very excited to have him bringing his considerable talent to Diablo's wonderfully original screenplay."
