Universal Move Forward With 'Jurassic Park 4'
[Friday, November 8th, 2002]Universal Pictures is moving forward with a fourth installment of "Jurassic Park," reports Variety
We will again see hapless humans pitted against dinosaurs created from ancient strands of DNA.
Steven Spielberg directed the 1993 "Jurassic Park" and its 1997 sequel, "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." Joe Johnston helmed the most recent edition in 2001. The trio earned a combined $1.9 billion at the worldwide box office.
The next version will be written by William Monahan, who most recently penned "Tripoli," a drama that will be directed by Ridley Scott. Set in the 18th century, the fact-based story follows a U.S. diplomat who joined forces with an exiled king to overthrow the corrupt ruler of a North African nation.
